Through tickets Rail travellers can get to Cardiff airport thanks to a new dedicated bus service from Cardiff Central station. Through tickets are available. It is hoped a rail service can eventually be provided to the airport.

Lucky star Passenger trains could return to the Ebbw Vale to Newport line following the decision of three local councils to set up a steering group. The Lucky Goldstar development near Newport will create 6,000 new jobs and has provided a powerful impetus for the project. As always, funding is the major problem.
Postcards The branch has produced postcards to send to tourist venues which make no mention of rail in their publicity. We hope they will mend their ways.
Freight The branch made a submission about the Government's plans to allow 44-tonne lorries on British roads and pointed out that rail freight facilities should be re-established at Fishguard for Irish traffic.
