The proceeds of last year's RDS draw has been helping the fight for better rail services.
About £1,900 was distributed by the society's reopenings and new railways committee.
£350 went to London and Home Counties branch for a variety of leaflets and studies in its area.
£200 went to South West for its campaign to upgrade the main line from Paddington to Penzance and to produce a Rail Strategy document.
£300 went to the Midlands for its campaign for improvements to the services from Birmingham to Tamworth and Shrewsbury, plus a new passenger service from Stafford to Worcester via Dudley.
South Wales has been promised £150 for its work in pressing for the reopening of the Vale of Glamorgan line to passengers.
East Anglia receives £80 to help it fight for a reopened rail link to St Ives rather than a "guided busway." Money also went to the Selby and District Rail Users' Group which is pressing for late evening trains to Leeds and York and a restored service to Doncaster.
The Goyt Valley Rail Users' Association was helped in its work to restore a proper service between Stockport and Stalybridge.
